Should scientists attempt to revive an extinct species?
Background: De-extinction is a fascinating topic that has created controversial discussion among scientists. There are many points to support and object de-extinction. Some animals that have been brought up in discussion to revive are the wooly mammoth, Thylacine ( Tasmanian Tiger), and passenger pigeon. De-extinction has led to many scientists coming up with lists of pros and cons for its case. De-extinction would have effects on society, and the environment.

Although there are risks of reviving an extinct species, the benefits outweigh the objections because de-extinction will provide answers to why animals become extinct and help the environment by bringing back keystone species.
